The following breeds may be restricted or prohibited on China Airlines:

• Brachycephalic breeds accepted under limited conditions only (specific routes, months, transport time <6 hours, one size larger kennel)

No pets on B738 aircraft due to cargo hold temperature control considerations.

Cargo / hold travel notes

Checked baggage (AVIH) in cargo hold only. Max external height 70 cm, width 90 cm. If total dimensions exceed 292 cm (115 in), double excess baggage charge applies. Fixed rates based on pet+container weight (e.g., Taiwan to Zone 1: USD 350). Over 32 kg: double fixed rate. Max 8 cages per flight, 2 per passenger.

Booking notes

Contact China Airlines booking department at least 48 hours before departure. Complete Passenger's Declaration for Live Animals form (two copies). Not available on interline segments. No newborn pets under 10 weeks.
