Emirates breed restrictions

The following breeds may be restricted or prohibited on Emirates:

Snub-nosed/brachycephalic breeds accepted only between October and April due to breathing difficulties in heat

Temperature restrictions

Strict temperature embargoes during summer months (May-September) for Gulf departures due to extreme heat. Cargo transport only when temperature conditions are safe.

Cargo / hold travel notes

Pets travel as cargo through Emirates SkyCargo. Falcons are permitted in the cabin on certain routes (UAE flights). All other pets must travel in the cargo hold.

Booking notes

Must book through Emirates SkyCargo at least 3 business days before travel. All import/export permits and health certificates must be arranged by the pet owner.
