No acceptance if forecast exceeds 85°F (29°C) or below 45°F (7°C). Down to 20°F (-7°C) with acclimation certificate. Stricter for brachycephalic breeds.

Cargo / hold travel notes

As of November 2024, pets only travel as manifest air cargo on freighter aircraft via Icelandair Cargo (no longer accepted as checked baggage on passenger flights). IATA crates required. Max approx. 36x25x27 inches. Fees vary by weight/route (e.g., KEF to USA: ISK 87,500-147,000 / ~$630-$1,060).
