Temperature restrictions

May refuse transport if weather at origin/destination is detrimental to pet welfare/safety. Seasonal bans on some US routes in July/August.

Cargo / hold travel notes

Pets travel as cargo only through Virgin Atlantic Cargo in heated/AC hold. Minimum crate 71x52x54 cm, rigid wood/plastic, ventilated all sides, leak-proof. One pet per cage. Contact Virgin Cargo for route-specific quotes. No weekend UK departures or Sunday US arrivals.

Booking notes

Contact Virgin Atlantic Cargo at departure airport at least 7 days prior (earlier recommended). Book cargo before own ticket. Check-in 4 hours early. Use IPATA agents for some destinations. Minimum age 15 weeks.
